Dr. Thomas Wiener understands that many men and women want to slow the signs of aging on the face, and he proudly offers nonsurgical solutions to consider. While many believe that a facelift or brow lift is the only way to target unwanted fine lines, wrinkles, and folds, this is not always the case! Patients with early signs of aging will often enjoy the benefits of cosmetic injectables such as Botox® and Jeuveau®, which can smooth away signs of aging that can contribute to an older appearance. What are Jeuveau® injections?
Jeuveau® injections are a new, FDA-approved treatment for wrinkles and fine lines. Unlike other injectables that use botulinum toxin, Jeuveau® is made from botulinum toxin type A, which is just as effective as Botox®.
Jeuveau® works by temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles and fine lines. This results in a smooth, youthful appearance that can last for up to four months. Jeuveau® is most commonly used to treat forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet, and the lines inbetween the eyebrows known as the “11s.”
How does Jeuveau® compare to Botox injections?
Jeuveau® and Botox® are both made from botulinum toxin type A and are FDA-approved for the treatment of wrinkles and fine lines. Both injectables work by temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles, resulting in a smooth, youthful appearance.
However, there are two key differences between Jeuveau® and Botox® injections. First, Jeuveau® is a new injectable on the market, while Botox® has been used for over 15 years. Second, Jeuveau® is said to be more cost-effective than Botox®. This makes it a more affordable option for patients on a tighter budget.
